King Jijeung
Twenty-second ruler of Silla, who fixed the names Silla and wang (king), promoted ox ploughing and annexed Usan-guk
In 503 he fixed the country’s name as Silla, meaning "virtue renewed daily, embracing the four quarters." He encouraged ploughing with oxen and banned burying the living with the dead to preserve labour. He set up the Eastern Market in the capital with an office to supervise it, and created provinces and counties, sending Isabu as military governor of Siljik Province. In 512 he sent Isabu to subdue Usan-guk (Ulleungdo).
