Korean Revolutionary Army at Yeongneungga and Heunggyeong

After the Manchurian Incident, Yang Se-bong’s Korean Revolutionary Army joined Chinese volunteers to defeat Japanese and Manchukuo forces at Yeongneungga and Heunggyeong in southern Manchuria.

When Japan seized Manchuria in 1931 and created Manchukuo the next year, Chinese anti-Japanese feeling made joint Korean–Chinese operations possible. The Korean Revolutionary Army of the southern Gungminbu won at Yeongneungga with Chinese volunteers in 1932 and again at Heunggyeong in 1933.

After Yang was killed through a Japanese ruse in 1934 the army weakened greatly, but it fought on until the late 1930s.
